Count your blessing and not your candle on your birthday cake. It is time for many of us to know if you ask anything in Faith on Jesus, you will receive it. If it is ordained by God he will happen.
Birthdays give someone an opportunity to reflect how mature you are or should be. Being mature not in age only but also spiritually. Spiritual maturity or rebirth will strengthen your relationship with God. Case Study: Luv 2v5, Heb 5v14, Prov 9v10, Rom 12v2, John 3v3 also Psaum 84, James 1v17, Colossians 3v16. Time of Reflection on Past Mistake:- Your birthday is an experience that will help you to reflect and learn from past mistakes. This experience is not designed to keep you in guilt and depression. This is meant to help you appreciate the message in your mess, what you should have done that you shouldn't have done, and what you were to do that you failed to do (either by ignorance or by disobedience). The Word of God and the lifestyle of Jesus is the best guide or standard for sober reflection.
Repentance:- This is an experience that your birthday offers you. It offers you the ability to make the wrongs, right. It gives you the ability of admitting your faults and changing from them. It helps you to know and understand what to unlearn, how to relearn, and become a better person with the aid of God's Word. You can't do this by your strength. You must depend on the agency of God's Word, and the Holy Spirit to help you.
Growing in Wisdom:- This is the next offer you experience when you take advantage of sober reflection on your birthday. It reveals to you the need to allow the Word of God to aid you growth. The Word of God is able to make you grow in the areas of your past mistakes, and according to the demands the future will place on you. You must allow the Word of God, through the agency of the Holy Spirit to give you the Grace to grow physically, spiritually, interest, socially, financially, and emotionally.
Fear of the Lord:- It's not about you being afraid of God but you having regard for God. It is about you being in consideration of what God will feel, and think about your words, thoughts, decisions, and attitude. It is you putting God's instructions into consideration, in your manner of approach to every thing you do generally.
Deeper intimacy with God:- This is what this experience ushers you. It brings you to the place of hunger in knowing, and understanding God's instructions, and practicing it. Deep intimacy with God is generated on the strength of the knowledge of God's Word you Intentional engage. Intimacy with God is not something you desire or wish for or pray to gain. It is a practical decision, and willingness to engage in the quest of knowing, understanding, and practicing God's instructions. This is accomplished by your intentional approach in picking your Bible, studying to know, and understand God's instruction for practicing.
As you step out this week, let these words inspire you. Today might not be your birthday, but start taking stock of the way you are living your life. It is time to align your words, thoughts, decisions, and attitude to the instructions of God's Word. Stop wishing, and waiting for all that is written in this post. Intentionally, start engaging with God's Word in the area you need help and strength.
